Coaches interested in pursuing higher credentialing through the International Coach Federation are required to complete 10 hours of mentor coaching with an ICF ACC, PCC, or MCC credentialed coach who has completed at least one renewal cycle.
According to the ICF, “mentor coaching means an applicant being coached on their coaching skills rather than coaching on practice building, life balance, or other topics unrelated to the development of an applicant’s coaching skill.”
Seven of these mentor coaching hours may be completed in a group setting. Three of these hours must be one-on-one.
Note: We are currently qualified to provide mentor coaching for coaches interested in pursuing the ICF ACC credential only.
Group Mentor Coaching
Our group mentor coaching programs focus on developing coaching competencies relevant to the desired ICF level with a young adult client. The program includes five weeks of group mentor coaching wherein mentees can expect:
- overviews of each ACC competency,
- practice coaching with a young adult client in the group session dates,
- formal supervision feedback of the practice sessions,
- and peer feedback.
PLUS three one-on-one mentor coaching sessions scheduled after the group sessions close.
Group mentor coaching slots are limited. Priority is given to YCI-trained coaches.
